About The Fanlisting
Why is this fanlisting called HomeBoy? Well in my mind, there's really two possible interpretations of the name:
- Lee Hom owns two Homeboy music studios: one in Taiwan, one in New York
- Lee Hom is a very private person, keeping his home/private life out of the media spotlight. Contrast this to the public behaviour of other musician/pop stars, and you can see why he's a "home boy".
As for the question of why there should be a fanlisting for Lee Hom...well, just listen to his music, and you won't wonder any more! Lee Hom manages to breach the chasm between Eastern and Western music, and bring them together in a fusion of what he calls 'chinked-out' hip hop and rhythm and blues.
